1. Checklist for adapting your course to the requirements of online teaching

In order to ensure quality online courses and facilitate student learning, teachers must consider two phases:

  • Design
  • Delivery

This checklist presents some guidelines for teaching online. It allows teachers to self-evaluate the adaptation of their courses to meet the requirements of online teaching and institutions to evaluate the courses they offer in this format.

Check-list for adapting your course to the requirements of online teaching

A specific color is assigned to each item of this checklist belonging to the following three levels:

  • Basic level : Essential elements that ensure the transition to an online course.
  • Intermediate level : Elements that ensure a better experience for students and promote their autonomy.
  • Optimal level : Elements that ensure optimal learning conditions.

2. Online EU Assessment

In order to ensure continuous improvement of the EU online, the teacher identifies positive and negative points (in terms of delivery, choice of online activities, relevance, difficulties, the quality of feedback ...) It adapts, according to the results of the evaluation, the structure of the EU (design) or activities for the following semester.

Example of questions to ask:

  • How were audio and video qualities during the synchronous sessions?
  • Did you encounter any technical problems?
  • How can we improve EU online learning? (tools?)
  • Collect feedback throughout the semester as well as at the end of the EU.
  • Review recorded lesson sessions.
  • Invite a colleague to take one of the courses as an external observer.
  • Identify modules where students pose more questions.
  • Take note of activities that were not completed on time.
